To be fair he's getting back to defend in position if the ball gets flashed in front of Muric and if he got tighter to one of the two free players that might have happened and people would have said he should have done the other thing instead.
IMO fault for that goal is down the left - Clarke (not for the first time) doesn't seem to take up a position that is in any way helpful so Davis is left defending two men and they get past too easily. |  |
