Hydrogen water 22:37 - Nov 18 with 975 views | catch74 | I’m suddenly being bombarded by adverts for this. Anyone any idea if there’s any proven benefits?

Hydrogen water on 22:49 - Nov 18 with 928 views | BlueBadger | It's probably as useful for the treatment and prevention of mild dehydration as standard H2O [Post edited 19 Nov 2024 9:46]

Hydrogen water on 23:52 - Nov 18 with 866 views | Guthrum | All water has hydrogen. Two atoms of it to one of oxygen. Edit: Plus hydrogen only minimally dissolves in water. At sub-sub-homeopathic levels (1.6 parts per million). You're being sold an electrolysis machine which does little more than use electricity. On top of which, what salts are they using for effective electrolysis (pure water is not very electrically conductive)? I hope not standard table salt, as that produces chlorine gas as a by-product, instead of oxygen. [Post edited 19 Nov 2024 8:41]

Hydrogen water on 10:06 - Nov 19 with 609 views | MattinLondon | No idea about this but during the buildup to the 2012 olympics, a BBC show tested a lot of drinks marketed as good for exercise, to see what the actual benefits were. The clear winner was however tap water. Technology might well have improved but I do think that most of those drinks ends up as expensive wee.

It is worth pointing out that athletes do get benefits from replenishing electrolytes, but then you don't need powerade to do that, just a bit of water, salt and sugar to balance the taste.
