…will be streamed on YouTube next year.

Hopefully ITFCW will be in what will then be called WSL2

I wonder if that will result in more games at PR. Many of the current Championship sides play at the main club ground.

It might be enforced - i wonder if Felixstowe can even support that. When the training ground is done they'll presumably play there and we will have the facilities. That said - the championship is a real step up. Portsmouth walked our league last year and lost 8 out of 9 games this year. And then you have teams like Newcastle who invested massively but are just sitting midtable.

I know they looked at Ipswich Wanderers at the end of last season but don't think that came to anything. That's probably less able to support bigger numbers than Felixstowe. I'm not sure there would be too many games at Portman Road as the pitch would suffer from being used too often. As you say, when the training ground is done and dusted, they may well play there.

Needham is another option, they've played U21s games there for the last two seasons.

I'm not sure how the training ground could be used.

I know the plans include a floodlit pitch with spectator standing area and dugouts, but if the women's team start getting decent crowds I don't think it will be big enough.

Apart from Arsenal, the average gate for a WSL is only 5k and that’s with very cheap ticket prices (in comparison with the men’s teams). Being realistic, I doubt whether the women’s team will be getting much better crowds anytime soon.

If you do it right, you could easily fit a crowd up to 1500 i would've thought. Part of the development has to have that in mind.

At the Nest in Norwich(Not Norwich's training ground i know, but similar style to Colney) they can easily fit that in. They pull a crowd of about 400 atm, and there is more than enough room to expand.

Traffic might be a problem for planners.
