We had a parcel of beer returned 'undeliverable' to our depot today. We say 'undeliverable' - it just means that the recipient wasn't able to answer the door within 0.5s of the delivery driver knocking.

Not our fault if they don't sit eagerly on the doorstep - we tell them to expect a parcel.

Anyway, it's made for a cracking end-of-the-working-week treat. All we had to do was offer a can to the customer services chap in the office next-door, and he's gladly rolled out some spiel that he has no access to the warehouse, and is only allowed to trot out pre-approved lines.

Cheers!

A classic of the genre.

Jokes on you though, they're non-alcoholic beers.

Ha! Good work. I had to double check the times to work out who was first. You should have charged £50 delivery on that order. You should see how much he’ll spend on bangers and mash!

Yup, a bit of soul-searching.

He’s lucky he wasn’t looking into the toilet bowl down at A&E.

Being on the wrong side of seventy I only unlock my door if some one knocks so I have to get the key and unlock the door before answering. So many parcels are just dumped on the doorstep. I recently had an M&S parcel delivered on a Monday whilst we were out, left by the front door. The delivery was stated on M&S website as being the 6th or 7th of January. The delivery took place on the 30th of December and we didn't return home until the 3rd of January so the parcel sat outside for nearly five days. I fully appreciate delivery drivers as I worked in a stores environment for 11 years. Considered many of them friends and know how hard they work for poor wages. An example was a chap who worked for Securicor. It was a franchise so he had to buy his van and keep it on the road. He told me he needed to do 61 drops per day to make it pay.
