He should've(and Muric would've) come for the fourth one. Made a similar error against City where he hesitates. Experiment over for me, Muric needs to come back in to benefit our regular style. |  |

We stand off an awful lot. Teams don’t have to work very hard to create against us. |
The issue is that if we rush in to tackle, the opponent just passes the ball to someone else. By standing off, we can cover options, see what's developing and deny space to the attackers inside our defensive formation.
It's got a certain effectiveness, given how even the best teams have to spend ages passing around beyond the edge of our area before attempting a breakthrough. |  |

Problem is our non-existent midfield has allowed teams to rip our defence apart with multiple men all game. Our players against the better teams are chasing shadows tbf and you can't lay the blame on the keeper. At least Walton doesn't make stupid errors like Muric, well Muric may have saved one of the shots that went in yesterday but he may well have also punched the ball to a Liverpool player or caught in no man's land staring at his own defender. At least with Walton you know that won't happen. |  | | |
