The championship playoffs - the chasing pack 14:18 - Feb 9 with 1512 viewsIllinoisblue

Basically a bunch of drunks stumbling around, aren’t they? Bristol City the latest to hit the bottle.

...last year.

I can already see that lot sneaking into the top 6 purely due to other teams crappiness, and then cocking it up at the last hurdle.

Actually this time I predict they will miss out on the play offs on the final day.

Not convinced by Sunderland but which ever team misses out on autos from Burnley or Sheff Utd should have enough to beat anybody in the playoffs. Should.

Would prefer your scenario of the filth missing out altogether on the last day. Preferably on 90+9 due to a clearly offside goal.

I don’t know, the Leeds demolition last year was brilliant

I was surprised at their draw v Derby yesterday.

They've tended to have teams from mid-table downwards for breakfast at home and that is their strength compared to the set of drunks illy describes.

They are some way off the top sides but if they do make it in the top 6, you never quite know.

I like your sentiments about that lot up the road. Ideally they will be two up going into injury time and suffer an unbelievable collapse and let in two late goals (firstly a highly dubious penalty - retaken after the first was missed in 90+6 and the second a massive deflection off Gunn's nose in 90+8. The 90+9 clearly offside winning goal topping off the historic comeback, as their players fall the ground in paroxysms of stunned agonising disbelief.

Any team from Millwall and above could end up in the play-offs and promoted to the PL.

Crazy really.

Historically you'd need 70+ points to get a chance of being in the play-offs and sometimes that won't be enough, the lowest being Sunderland in 22/23 with 69.

West Brom, Boro, "Them Lot", maybe Cov look to be the best of the pack but they're all projecting 68 or lower. At some point you'd expect those teams to pick up some points a- a few 3 game weeks coming up.

Is there a more pointless football team than Bristol City? And a more dull manager than Liam Manning?
