Randomly bumped into SS last night in a local pub. Lovely guy. Took time to have pics with my boys and chat about the season. Won’t betray too many confidences but thinks he’ll be back for Leicester game. Has just bought a place in south Essex and says he’s happy to be settled again. Said the hardest thing with the prem has been the speed/physicality and the fact that when you lose the ball you might not see it again for 10 mins. Said some very interesting things about that transfer and why it went on for so long. Said Blackburn wanted a financial clause relating to if we made the champions league !

I’ve always maintained since they took control of the club , that that is the end focus of this ownership. But it takes time. The main thing is, that’s the aspiration of our owners, not just to make the PL and survive in it.
