Couple of thoughts on the EPL 19:20 - May 4 with 1206 views | vapour_trail | Has this been the least interesting weekend since football was invented in 92? Such a sh1t set of fixtures. Who will finish 5th. Who will finish 8th. Spin that one out for an hour on MOTD2 tonight. And it struck me looking at the table today, if you’d have told us in Aug, that we’d finish the season directly behind Manu, spurs and West Ham, I reckon we’d have been celebrating there and then. So a funny old season on that regard.

Couple of thoughts on the EPL on 19:44 - May 4 with 1056 views | ArnieM | I watched some exciting football in the Championship over the weekend . Wh8 would make the final top 6 spot, who would be relegated. The PL IS boring, and IS by and large sterile, predictable and full of gamesmanship of the highest cheating level you could wish to see.

I’d have taken that in 2001.

Couple of thoughts on the EPL on 08:14 - May 5 with 613 views | Churchman | I agree, it was pretty turgid. I saw a chunk of MOTD and that was beyond turgid. Of the games themselves ours at Everton seemed about the most interesting but not for whoever schedules that programme and not when you had the Vardy/Lineker love in to feature - like anyone beyond Leicester supporters was interested in Lineker’s inane questions or Vardy’s bored answers. I watched a fair bit of the Championship games and they, with something to play for, were far more interesting. One thing I noticed was how much slower the Championship games are, the number of mistakes made and the number of touches required to control the ball needed at times. Regarding finishing so close to MU, Spurs and WH, position wise, you are right. But I doubt anyone predicted they’d be that poor, apart from West Ham.
Couple of thoughts on the EPL on 08:31 - May 5 with 554 views | BloomBlue | I guess it's because all the interesting battles ie who is going to win the league, who will be relegated has never been decided this early before in the EPL?
Couple of thoughts on the EPL on 16:58 - May 5 with 320 views | Facefacts | Only just caught up with the Sunday matches but it was good to see Willock (Newcastle) yellowed for conning the ref into giving a pen which the ref overturned after going to the screen. Unfortunately the ref was quite apologetic about having to book him. Good use of VAR. Sorry if already a thread on this, I'm just catching up.
Couple of thoughts on the EPL on 17:45 - May 5 with 245 views | Swansea_Blue | Whereas the EFL was quite good in patches. We had a title decided in added on time, relegations and playoff places changing place throughout the last match, promotion confirmed in 90+6. I think football and fans/public in general miss out with the media’s fixation on the PL. There’s so much drama in the EFL and below in the 2/3 tiers below.
