Most (if not all) windows since he’s been here have had a frustration phase like this.
It’s the nature of transfers - unpredictable, tricky, largely out of his control. I’m sure it frustrates the life out of him, but I doubt he blames the Club. |  |

he'll be disappointed about hackney, but he'll have understood it was a stretch for a championship side, just as philogene was last year when villa got him ahead of us.
the injuries will have got him much more down as those are his players and he'll have planned around them (as well as the obvious human emotion...) | |

It was ridiculously close and we obviously put a lot of eggs in said basket with a lengthy pursuit and getting him to travel south for face to face meetings.
Hopefully that being scuppered a week before the season hasn’t messed up any other plans. | | | |

Not sure that’s the best example in this context. Let’s see, if we get Cajuste, I’m a big fan of his but Hackney played 43 times in the championship last year and I’m not convinced we’d get that from Jens. I’m even less convinced on Taylor playing a major role starting games in a top 2 team but who knows.
We shall see where we are on Friday and then on September 1st. | | | |
