Who cares really? If he’s still there in September he’s certainly changed the Boro budget though, not quite so sure this is the big win their fanbase will claim.

If he goes a day or two before the end of the August, he’s likely screwed their window even more. Can’t see him carrying them to promotion on his own.

Without sounding like a parent here , I’d assume the player makes the decision as to where he wants to play and NOT the agent let’s be fair

The agent is there to get the best for his client and advise him. Now whether he’s advised HH and HH has gone solely on his advise then that lies with the player himself

Move on - we’ve not lost anything because we never had it

Poll: Philogene Conundrum

He’s been there since he was 10. Would imagine moving down south to a strange club who aren’t in the premier league would be a big step. Clearly he’s lower on the list for other clubs at the level above. If something does now materialise for the lad it will obviously work against Boro as a club. Wouldn’t surprise me either though if he still ended up here in a typical transfer twist.

I doubt Middlesbrough are very happy with him (or Hackney). They've either ended up with a player who doesn't want to be there or will lose him but not get the money until the 11th hour.

Right but we have been after him all summer, he was either open to it or he wasn’t, I get assessing your options, I just hope we haven’t been taking for a ride by his representation trying to drum up PL offers.

I’m assuming he was close to joining though. It’s a big blow for our off season.
