So if you love one Town player (brilliant, good on you) you are obliged to dislike the player who replaced him? How old are you? The yo-yo mercenary turned down a move back to the Prem to stay here.
I love Woolfie too. Class on the ball, he was also getting better man on man and using his strength better and I thought he did really well when he played in the Prem last year. But he doesn't have pace and that's necessary where we need to be going. Would have loved him to stay as a back or in a three, but he wanted more game time that he was rightly not going to get here. There is an an adoration of O'Shea on here which the stats perhaps bear up but the eye test doesn't. This is an example. The way barely anything was said after his mistake against Derby is a another one.
Is he a good defender? For the most part. Is he worth up to £15m, £11m more than Woolfenden? Not for me. Another overspend when looking at relative squad improvement. | |
