Indeed. As a top player he has earnt that right. As a terrible manager he has no place to suggest that a manager who is far more successful than he ever was is getting it wrong! He even said something along the lines of I wouldn't let the players do ... yet clearly he would as he did repeatedly!

He also said, “There are ex-players and ex-referees being given air-time who I wouldn’t listen to in a pub,” . He said he’d never sit in a studio talking about stuff that wasn’t there. And now we have the overlap. Fcking fraud.

Most pundits are failed managers or players that didn't go into coaching or management. So are you saying none of them should pass any comment on manager decisions. As much as I disliked Keane during his time here at least he isn't afraid to speak his mind like some pundits. He doesnt car about offending a player or manager he might cross paths with. Don't always agree with his opinion but at least he gives it

Roy Keane criticising Arteta's managerial ability on 08:25 - Sep 22 with 583 views | franz_tyson | Get the point, but they are far, far more qualified than any of us to criticise manager's and players. They've at least experienced it. Yet.... they could be great ex-players and terrible managers. I actually think great ex-pro's are incredibly brave/stupid to try management and risk their legacy and reputation when they could easily just sit on a sofa and get paid well for it. I'll give Rooney his dues for going back for more punishment and dog's abuse in screwing up management so badly, so many times.... and not doing it at this club.
