The run rate is fine, it's just the fact that we're England, and we've got just as much chance of being at 130/4 in two overs' time as we have of being 105/9.

I’m unconvinced with Brook having the captaincy. I’m just not sure he’s mature enough to lead the group.

Totally agree. Incredibly gifted player but there's no show of gravitas or never-say--die attitude from him on or off the field.

In fact, there's only one regular player in the side that looks like captain material, but he doesn't want the job any more.

I’d also look at Sam Curran. England are all in with Brook I think though.

GSTK might be a dirge but it has the gravitas of a real nation, makes me fill up every time I hear it and see sports teams singing it, especially when the rugby team belt it out with tears running down their faces.

This West Indies "anthem" LOL......It's a vaguely catchy pop song aimed at uniting a very diverse group of island nations, most of whom don't particualry get along. There is no concept of nationhood as they're not one. Wonder how many WI players were singing along?
