This is all so depressing 20:08 - Mar 24 with 874 viewsCoastalblue

Even if you happen to be a Farage supporter there's no denying this is now a club with a divided fanbase at precisely the point it needs us all pulling together as one.

It's incredible somebody in a position of responsibility at the club couldn't see this coming.

This will rumble on and there's no good anywhere in any of this.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

By the time we play Birmingham it will have blown over. Their fans might start one chant but then it will be forgotten.

Truly impaired.

I agree. In the online space and immediate heat of the moment, this seems like a big deal (to some) and gets amplified back and forth.

But it's still tomorrow's (metaphorical) chip wrapper.

I don't think fans in the stands are going to be that bothered, honestly.

Honestly away fans wouldn’t give a toss about this or even take note of it

I’d imagine a lot of Birmingham fans are probably Farage fans.

"pull together" as opposed to "be divided" - depresses me also

Had Ipswich released a statement yesterday evening or this morning then that may have been true. I think now that they’ve tried to appease people with a story that Reform booked a tour without their say so, that they’ve tried to keep quiet and hope that would work and then ultimately released a nothing statement and been proven to have not been truthful in the original story that they weren’t involved means this is bigger than just having Farage taking photos on the pitch.

A mistake, even one as controversial as this, can be forgiven. Lying and covering tracks about it is simply not acceptable and won’t be forgotten.

It's divided on here for sure. Just spoke to my brother and nephew - season ticket holders - not one word about NF. They don't use this site.

Reform dividing people and communities; who'd have thought it? Just another day at the office for Nigel.

Supporters need to remember that this is not the fault of the players or the staff. This is poor judgement from the current custodians that massively overshadows the good work they have done in the community. Shame on them.

After the insipid and naive statement from the club, the worst thing they could do now is use the 'time to move on' rhetoric so beloved of Boris Johnson & co. I do think that the club needs to explain how Farage managed to get a photo in the dressing room under a row of 'Farage 10' shirts, with players names included in the photo. I have not been on a stadium tour, private or public but I cannot imagine that I would be able to do a similar thing to promote a cause, movement, company or ideal. I am appalled by the photo.

I no longer live in Ipswich and have tried to find out how well attended the rally was - one report I saw was that 'hundreds' were expected when Reform forecasted 'thousands'. This whole facade could be a smokescreen to divert attention from the poor turnout. If so, the club have facilitated this.
