I know, it's yet another poll / thread on a saturated topic. But wanted to track sentiment in one hit, given opinions are spread across so many threads. Also this way is anonymous, and I note nobody has come out 100% team Nige so far.

If you want to track opinions, you need to either not have ridiculous options or at least have something between 'Town are dead to me' and 'meh, life goes on'.

Your poll lacks a 'waiting for the club to make a proper apology' option.
My conclusion on this probably depends on how long it takes them to do that.
Precisely my position.
Needs to be today.
Opportunity to front up, be completely and utterly honest and open to questioning, and do the best possible job of making up the two mistakes (letting it happen and not immediately apologising) as much as is possible.
Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!
Where’s the option for the club not to be used as a Mark Ashton vanity project and to leave in the summer? The only answer.
Not apolitical point. But to those shrugging it off, the consequences for the clubs future, for existing and future sponsors, players, managers, coaches are VERY REAL.
There are lots of talented people who won’t want to be anywhere near our brand, it’s become toxic, and rightly or wrongly, that’s the reality!
Mark has dragged us back to the Stone Age, for his own career and ego.
They won’t be anybody saying so, they will just choose to be elsewhere, and that’s existing talent, as well as potential talent, its why 100% of other clubs don’t do politics, there’s no need to!! We’re a football club and should be apolitical in our behaviours as well as words. PM’s and ministers should always be welcome from across the political spectrum, but not oppositions of any persuasion using the club as a platform .., if only because the toxic nature could DESTROY our club.
Anyone laughing if Ashton stays, and we have a talent pool shrunk by about 80% and likely 100% of young progressive players and managers, need to think long and hard.
We all want a successful club.
You don’t achieve that by limiting your potential in this way, for zero upside for the club, other than a Mark Ashton ego rub.
There are consequences.., and they could destroy our entire future, easily!
We’ve become toxic over night, that’s not a political opinion, it’s a reality of how society works, players and managers value their brand hugely, they need broad appeal to be a commercial success, it’s why they seldom talk politics, it diminishes their brand whoever they choose. Their market and value shrink, and no player or manager wants that.
This isn’t an own goal form mark - it’s not tomorrow fish and chip paper.., this has cut the clubs potential off at the knees!!
It’s gross negligence, gross misconduct and instant dismissal, comfortably.
With the timing and 8 cup finals left, it couldn’t be worse, we’re a laughing stock, its the last thing we need, huge distractions.
The man and his ego need to go .., ideally in the summer, but if we had owners with genuine oversight, and I suspect we haven’t, and that’s why we got here, he’d be gone by lunch!!
Again not for his choices, but for thinking his choices are the clubs choices THEY ARE NOT - as a club we can’t be a success if we don’t welcome everyone!!! It can’t work.
ASHTON OUT - one poll, one choice, the clubs whole future might depend on it. He can wear his signed shirt and I’ll drive him to WBA myself - how feckin dare he put himself, his future career and his EGO above our club!!! And if I was card carrying Reform, I’d say 100% that same (I didn’t vote in the last election so have no party skin in the game).
How dare ANY one individual take such a risk with the clubs future, and make untouchable for 80% of the talent pool available. He’s an absolute cretin!!
