I once got a telling off from a head teacher after I convinced a year 6 class the school was introducing school on Saturdays. Got some fake newspapers to convince them, and we did a lesson on "persuasive writing" to the chair of governors.
Problem was the lesson went over a break and they told their siblings. Siblings messaged home and parents were phoning up demanding an explanation.

When I worked for a bank a memo was sent out allegedly from the regional staff manager instructing staff to undertake a keep fit regime by jogging for 20mins round the area near their branch after which shower facilities would be provided in branches.
It stressed that where possible male and female showers would be installed but that in smaller branches showering would have to be 'on a mixed basis'
The regional staff office couldn't understand why they had resignations sent in that morning
