Azon has all the qualities of a 10, other than the finishing capabilities, but his all round game deserves a starting place.

He really isn’t a 10, he is developing into a very good target man, works his socks off, links play well and can handle a physical battle. Yes his finishing is work in progress (being generous) but he has the potential to be a real handful in the lone striker role.

I'm beginning to think that the biggest problem with Azon is that he's got the wrong number on his shirt.

I haven't worked out what number he should be wearing but as a 9, he operates as quite a good decoy.

No.8's are not so fashionable these days. If he wore 8, would fans be more forgiving about his finishing?

Or maybe he just needs a completely different number for a completely different type of player? Suggestions anybody?

No thats fair, but I wouldn’t go changing it with one game to go. Personally I prefer him over Mehmeti in that position.

You’re absolutely right that that position (along with the 9) need a revamp in the summer

Real lack of goal threat too. He either doesn't get in the right areas or when he does.. see the chance at Charlton to make it 3-1.

IA was a no 10 at Real Zaragoza most of the time. Not an odd idea to me, Nunez and Mehmeti most certainly aren't and never have been, despite MN's promisng start in that position which gradually tailed off. Too late in the season for that now. Given that you've got 2 downvotes for having the temerity to suggest it, I should be getting at least the same!
