| Aldershot v u21's on 21:54 - Nov 3 with 604 views | jontysnut | I think other teams have done this - isn't it something about having X number of players who started previous games, so they start and are subbed. | | | |
| Aldershot v u21's on 22:01 - Nov 3 with 529 views | Hermann_eats_puffin | I watched some of the game on the National League website. 5-0 in the end and we had chances for other goals because for example Fletcher was clean through in the second half but the Aldershot keeper managed to make a save. After some tough games in the past month or so for the U21s in the EFL Trophy and the Premier League International Cup I'm pleased for the U21s because it can't have been nice for them being on the end of a few heavy defeats. The win tonight takes them second in their National League Cup Group and so they make the quarter finals which will consist of:- Halifax Town Scunthorpe United West Ham U21s Ipswich U21s Boreham Wood Middlesborough U21s Truro City Woking The National League Cup group tables are here:- https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/fo I have no idea how the quarter final draw works as in is it just a normal draw where any team can draw any team or do they try to prevent U21 teams from playing each other I have absolutely no idea. Quite so - just another way to get round the competition rules. | | | |

I was thinking this about the U21s yesterday, but then I thought that they've currently got a couple of very good players out on loan.

From last season … of course things have probably changed as they do regularly “Knockout stage In Round 2, the group winners will be seeded and the group runners-up will be unseeded in the draw. In Round 2, teams who played in the same group as each other in the group stage will be kept apart.”

So Truro, boreham wood or Halifax .. I’m guessing away.
