If Bru is as good as half of the people on this forum think.... 23:18 - Aug 4 with 3128 viewsCurrie10

Then why is he still here and no club come in for him?

Speaks volumes. Nowhere near good enough.

Absolutely delighted both he and Douglas aren't he this season.

The only thing i can remember Bru doing which was good was his goal against Brighton other than that hes just been bang average at a push.

Where are these posts claiming how good he is?

For a time, it looked as though Mick had unearthed a gem - he had some very good games and linked up well with McGoldrick in particular.

He never kicked on - but we got more than our value for him, considering he was a trialist.

He's not a bad player, head and shoulders above similar players in League One. He'd flourish in the right side, a division down.

Is he a quality player who can be a mainstay in a Top 6 Championship team? Probably not.

But he's been a decent signing. Cost us nothing to sign, probably peanuts in salary terms, been useful coming off the bench on occasion. Good luck to him. He should get a deal elsewhere.

Sorry, fat fingers. Downvoted by mistake.

Some of our better performances over the last couple of admittedly under performing seasons, have featured Bru. A player who looks to make things happen. We don't have many of them.

Quite a few on here have rated him and slated him a lot less than Douglas / Tabb and other easy targets over time.

He was well worth a gamble and at times did perform well, however pleased that's the end of this gamble and wish him well for the future.

I never rated him he's very much a style of substance.

A lot of fans got taken in by his technique, which is decent but over course of his career here he's not done much tbh.

If Bru had a run in the team the same as the likes of Skuse and Douglas had then I'm sure he would be a better player then he showed.

Bru is a passenger in the team, doesn't like the physical side of the Englishns bond tier game. When he goes we will not miss him one i ota.

But what does he make happen exactly !? Assists!? Goals!? Very very few.

Technically excellent, zero product though.

Does anyone massively rate Bru though? I quite like him, decent ability but didn't kick on at all last season and drifted out of games far too much. It's right to move him on with the youngsters we have coming through.

He has always looked to me to be capable of doing all sorts of things but rarely if ever actually produces.
It does appear, to me anyway, that there is a footballer there somewhere but for whatever reason rarely surfaces.

He's very pleasing on the eye, but there's only rarely a end product.

Down in Div 2 he'd be a great addition to any side - puts his foot on the ball, wins a few tackles and occasionally does a defence splitting pass. Greta for that standard, but not for what we aspire to. So no regrets about letting him go.
