If we blame Skuse we'll be told we know nothing about the football and his role in the team.

If Downes had covered back rather than waste essential time appealing for the handball, he'd have made a tackle and no goal would have resulted. I was screaming at him. No doubt MM has pointed that out, so he gets the point. He will learn.
Downes had a curious game, doing a lot that was good, but showing his inexperience several times. He is quality, though, and I hope he keeps his place. |  | | |
