What other fans are suffering as much as us right now? Ranked on a very unscientific scale of crapness and factoring in success of main rivals. I’d have us second only to Rangers.

1. Rangers. Stevie G has restored some sanity and stability but despite that they’ll likely end season without a trophy and watch Celtic win their 10th title in a row.

2. Ipswich. Apparently wealthy owner who doesn’t really like to spend money. A succession of woeful managers (Mick aside), and worst league position in 50 years. While Norwich hoover up prem millions and have a conveyor belt of young talent.

3. Everton. Wasted millions on terrible transfers while their red neighbours become European champions again, world champs and soon to be record breaking domestic champs.

Any more I’ve missed? Bury, obviously.

Everton are on the up though with Ancelotti.

Sunderland i'd put above us even if they are currently above us in the table. Mansfield will be above us after bottling promotion last season now find themselves in a relegation battle. Notts County and West Ham have a case too.

Everton's best season in the last 20 odd years saw them finish above their city neighbours, only to see them lift the biggest trophy in Europe a couple of weeks later.

West Ham deserve every bit of misery that they get.

Bit like Naarwich beating Rochdale over two legs to win the League Cup in 1961/62 to over shadow what we did.

Sunderland are just miserable, unsurprisingly because they live in Sunderland.

There was a similar thread last month. I'd still suggest Oldham...

Oldham Athletic. One relegation and 10 consecutive bottom half finishes.

But it's marginal...

I think Sunderland have very good reason to be miserable, certainly more than we do anyway!

Man City? Spent an absolute fortune and are 20+ points behind the leaders in their league.
