Interesting question about the Premier League 18:49 - Apr 15 with 602 views | Guthrum | having to pay back loads of money to Sky, BT, etc., if the season is not completed. Would the TV execs really insist on recouping their money in full, if it risked killing the goose which has laid them so many golden eggs? That would seem very short-sighted.

Interesting question about the Premier League on 18:52 - Apr 15 with 579 views | pointofblue | The belief is that Sky won’t chase for funding to be returned relating to 19/20 but may balk at paying for 20/21 if the start isn’t in sight. [Post edited 15 Apr 2020 18:53]

Interesting question about the Premier League on 18:56 - Apr 15 with 549 views | C_HealyIsAPleasure | Rather depends on what the TV companies think the long term impact may be - if they think this is going to cause a long term drop in viewing numbers then I imagine they’ll be looking to get out what they can Assuming any discussion is limited to games lost (if it comes to that), then I expect a pragmatic solution will be reached for the reasons you outline. In the UK that should be rather easy - just putting the lost games back in over the coming years with some access to the 3pm Saturday games being obvious. Overseas rights will be much harder given that all games are broadcast already - which probably means some sort of renegotiation of the rights which gives something back over time without crippling the PL clubs in the short term The interesting bit is likely to come in deciding exactly where games should be lost if that becomes the reality - as I expect the TV companies preference to firmly be in having a full new season rather than finishing the one with a team miles clear at the summit

Interesting question about the Premier League on 19:20 - Apr 15 with 497 views | ITFC_Forever | There’s a large part of me that says the more nuclear actions and fallout, the better. Might be the big opportunity to reset the game that is desperately needed. And if it shames those in the game who are only in it for as much as they can get out of it (especially certain players and agents) in to having to act more responsibly, so much the better.
