Sir Ian Holm RIP on 13:27 - Jun 19 with 685 views | Swansea_Blue | 88. A good innings that. Which meant he was into his 60s when he did the Lord of the Rings. I didn't realise that, nor how many films he'd done.

All things considered, 88 is young for a hobbit. Bilbo was at least eleventy-one.

Sounds like he was a bit of a ladies man too! Some fantastic roles - hadn’t realised that was him in Chariots of Fire. A sad loss. RIP.

The Guardian constantly delivers. It's left-leaning of course, but doesn't display it's bias through cringeworthy faux outrage (Mail/Express) or downright lies and propaganda (Telegraph), and is largely factually correct. A few of the opinion columnists are an aquired taste, but some of the stuff around the edges is either top quality investigative journalism or distractingly delightful. That piece yesterday about the sports photographer filming long tailed tits being a case in point. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/jun/16/my-lockdown-spring-watch-a-p
