As a child, my mate went to A&E with his dad. He noticed that one man in the waiting area didn't look ill, so asked his dad what was wrong with him.

"He's broken his willy," was the reply.

When I tried to call Thames Water last week, the helpful recording told me that unless I was calling for covid-related reasons, no one would take my call.

Charming.

One of my old friends from the Shotley peninsula (he was from there, I have done my time in Melton and on Castle Hill and the London Road areas of Ipswich but at least I have avoided 'the triangle') related that another lad was visiting his Grandad on his sixteenth birthday (the lads, not the Grandads) and was greeted with 'So you've got a bunn in now, eh boy?'
