Credit Cards 16:09 - Aug 27 with 763 views | uefacup81 | I have a credit card with a major high-street bank, who also provide my current account. I don't use it at all, but it has a pretty good credit limit and a very low APR, so I keep it to one side in case I suddenly find myself needing it. Over the course of the last 12 months or so, the bank has first contacted me to advise that they'd be closing my account when the previous card expired earlier this year, and they contacted me the other week saying that they were going to halve my credit limit as I wasn't using it. On both occasions, they suggested I contact them if I didn't want them to close the account/reduce the limit. I contacted them and they reversed the decision instantly, so that suggests they've not got any worries about my credit-worthiness. Is it just a case of them trying to encourage me to leave, seeing as my account doesn't make them any money? | |
