Clubs must have a responsibility to do all they can to support those being released (and probably do this very well in the most part) but I suppose there are some who have not seen anything beyond their dream of professional football.

Terribly sad.

Reading that makes the people involved more real.

When you see bad news you sympathise, but there is still that distance.

When you read his family's words, see photos of the young chap and hear about his aspirations, a whole picture emerges of a real person who was struggling, and the helplessness of those who loved him.

Don't know what to say, it must be so awful for his family.
