Honestly, he has to be waiting for Lambert's contract to expire, or hit a trigger point where he can go cheaper. No other scenario makes sense to me at the moment!
I've never known such a unified view of a manager's position being untenable - across fans and the media - and yet Evans seems satisfied with just letting things carry on, to the clear detriment of this football club.
Not sure why else he would be allowing things to get worse than they ever were under McCarthy like this.
