Simian of the day........... 11:09 - Feb 22 with 534 viewsfooters

Monday, 22nd February, the uakari.

This cheeky chappy might look embarrassed but he isn't! In fact, he's very proud to have such a red face as it's what turns the female uakari on, much like a Rolex on a human male.

Native to the Amazon basin, the uakari also make a good case against zoos, as if they are locked up for people to gawp at they become lifeless and withdrawn. In the wild, however, they are little bundles of energy :)

Alan Brazil or uakari? You decide. And remember, simians aren't just for Christmas :)

It's an uakari, not a panda.

I wondered where Mrs Pinewood had been all weekend. Be a good chap and kindly ask her to return home as I’m getting a bit tiddled off with beans on toast. Ta.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

She's been at Alan Brazil's house? Poor thing. I'll ask him to send her home with a packed lunch.

Why don't we just eat pandas? They're not good for much else and could be very tasty.

Presumably they'd taste of bamboo-infused chicken.

It's a bit more slimline and mobile than Brazil despite the facial similarity:

I don't understand the squad players and formation leak here. Is this an indication that, not liking to be caged up in a rigid 4-3-2-1, we will be playing an expansive all out attack 4-4-2? Much like Mick did at Reading when he appeared to succumb to supporter pressure, what was the score in that match again?

It's how I imagine most of us look on a Saturday at 5pm when posting on here.
