Just watched the highlights 12:57 - Feb 24 with 1097 views | Pendejo | I was confused by the amount of space on the pitch were they playing 7 a side? Furthermore was confused by the team representing Ipswich appeared to be trying to score goals rather than run up the possession stats, is that permitted? There's a free kick given against Toto that, on first viewing, looks really harsh. Must watch again. Doesn't football look better when there's a clear objective to attack, score goals and win rather than hope to note the opposition sufficiently to nick a goal. Well done [Post edited 24 Feb 2021 13:15]

Just watched the highlights on 13:18 - Feb 24 with 1016 views | MedwayTractor | I've just looked again, we were lucky not to give away a penalty (about 30 seconds in) with all the pushing & shoving as Hull's corner came in, right in front of the ref as well, just as well he was ball-watching. The main culprit looks to be Chambers. Fine example from the captain of how not to act, then he chases nobody at all into the 6 yard box. No matter how many times I watch it, I am amazed Hull didn't score, 4 of their 5 players in the box were unmarked when Potter shot wide. Correction: 50 seconds in, I was watching the shorter version on Sky's site. [Post edited 24 Feb 2021 13:21]

Think you would have a different thought if you'd watched the whole game. We were comfortably better and should have been 3 up in 20 minutes if we could make better decisions in and around the penalty area. They only had 1 good chance which their top scorer missed from 6 yards. They didn't look like a promotion team
Just watched the highlights on 14:38 - Feb 24 with 904 views | Ewan_Oozami | For the Toto tackle - they guy actually runs to the side into Toto leaving the ball to run forward as the tackle is made, which makes it look far worse than it is....

Not only was the free kick “harsh” as he did play the ball and the player decided to dive over him, but it also earned him a caution.

The highlights are defo not a fair reflection on our overall performance last night, they are just what they are, highlights of the more exciting moments and no more should be read into them than that on any match tbf. They missed off a couple of good saves from Holy and some great blocking by our defenders. Norwood and Parrot were such a handful thought the match, it was good to see them working so hard! Regarding the free kick against Toto I think the length of Toto's slide into the tackle convinced the ref it was worth a yellow, if he had seen it from the camera we were all watching through he would have called the tackle fair.
Just watched the highlights on 16:32 - Feb 24 with 771 views | jeera | I have only just seen the goal. It actually looked like a proper Ipswich build-up, neat bit of passing, cracking ball from Kenlock too. I have no idea what the rest of the game was like (apart from radio commentary) but that was pleasing on the eye.

That's not the issue here. My point is that the players never seem to learn that grappling in the penalty area when a corner or free kick is taken is an open invitation for a referee to penalise the defending team. We were lucky last night that the referee was looking elsewhere. Do you remember the game at Reading a few years ago? Without looking it up, I seem to remember that we had 2 or 3 penalties against us for grappling, you'd think that the first one would have been sufficient warning, but perhaps professional footballers aren't bright enough to read the signals.
