We had our own version up here when I was returning from mutt-walking just after 8pm - two gaggles of geese flying very noisily (how do they have the energy to vocalise as well as fly?) from NE to SW, must have been 200-300 feet up.

Interestingly, while one lot was in the traditional V formation, the other was in an upside down 'Y'.
