What's your reason for not liking the Demolition Job
Though it would be handy to see a poll based on overall feelings. Lots of varied views on the demolition job so far, some positive, but many negatives and within those various reasons for the negativty, some expected, some slightly shocked at, but overall both sides of the fence, there has been some solid constructive discussions being made.
Don’t like the way Cook has conducted himself in relation to players and feel he is enacting more change than he needs to - guess that falls under ‘another Hurst’ and ‘(some of the) academy graduates are good enough’.
I think that, in general, a demolition job is required, but I do think that getting rid of Downes, Dozzell, Bishop, Woolfenden, Kenlock, Dobra and Lankester is too far. I think that these players probably are good enough, even if they will not be starting players. However, I do trust that Paul Cook knows more than I do, and maybe these players are a bad influence off the pitch.
I think it is also partly that I don't like change ;)
They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!
