BBC R Suffolk 17:43 - Aug 5 with 1833 views | Mediocre_Quick | Do they still do matchday coverage? I know I asked about Streams etc, but there's some shady sites out there, so thought might just bung it on the radio instead if it's still covered in that way?

Is it listenable online? Or the BBC Sounds app do you know? Or will I have to go old school and dig out a radio?

If the ELF is getting back to usual, you probably won't be able to listen to the online streams.

Skinflint BBC have slashed local radio funding all over the country. Suffolk had to make cuts.

Did the radio station never get complaints that it was almost 6 hours of football coverage on a Saturday? I know that there are countless radio stations, tv channels, on-demand things people could use, but these are Suffolk people.

Yeah. Local BBC radio stations are doing 6-10, 10-2, 2-6 programming.

Not that I'm aware of. The show was designed to be not too off-putting for non-football people. The music, which was miles from my taste, was the regular local radio programming etc. Was more popular than the out-and-out sports show which followed. It was generally the second most listened to show in its slot in Suffolk behind Graham Norton's show, which apparently was ridiculously popular when it was on Radio Two. LaP was listened to online more than any other Radio Suffolk show, or was a couple of years back.

Would I be right in thinking that Radio Suffolk isn't available outside the region? Down here, I think we get stuck with Solent, so Saints/Pompey etc.

A lot of rationalisation expected of bbc local radio in the near/medium term. More regionalisation of programming, and some counties will close down completely. Make the most of the radio commentary whilst it is there.
