Cowley quote 10:28 - Aug 10 with 753 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Michael passed that medical, so I am told. Sounds rather like Cowley doesn't have full confidence in that statement. Probably why he is so keen to move Jacobs on.

It does make me wonder what the protocol is. So we decide that Edwards is possible. Get him in. Do the deal. Then what? We either tell Jacobs the deal is off before we tell Pompey. Surely Ashton is more worried about keeping good relations with a whole club and not an individual player so tells them first? It’s possible we were due to contact Jacobs or his agent but Cowley did it first. Either to play the ‘good guy’ or because he wanted to interfere for whatever reason. I can’t imagine we’d have never contacted Jacobs at all.

Also, if a Championship club came along after Town thought they had a deal agreed, Jacobs would not have thought twice about signing and let Town find out via a press statement, as has happened many times in football. It is usually the player who does what they like with no regard to a club, just this time it was the player who was gazumped by the availability of a better player.
Cowley quote on 11:03 - Aug 10 with 543 views | Chrisd | 'If' it is true and as a Town fan, I think we could've handled the whole situation better. If the shoe was on the other foot we wouldn't be too happy. I feel it's important to remember we are only getting one side of the story at the moment, so going to see what comes out in the wash.
