You joke, but in my little one's tube loving days, we did many trips like this one, often lasting 4 or 5 hours at a time.

Check out the wonderful Geoff Marshall for full-on tube and train geekery. a few years back, he visited every train station in the UK and i watched most episodes on Youtube. I bet Geoff knows this bus guy.

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

A statistician in the Major Government Department I worked for used enter a competition for planning complicated train journeys. You had to get from Corrour to Spooner's Row in x number of hours, leaving at a designated time, that sort of thing.

He would usually win. And he did all from memory.

Never ever ask an actuary advice if you are planning a route, the resultant decisions will feel longer than the journey

Farmer walks over to an actuary and says 'do you like my brown cows'

Actuary replies "the half I can see is ok"

I know an actuary who claims that is the funniest joke ever

Does he think it funny because it involves somebody actually choosing to speak to an actuary?

That's because he's a scouser though.

Did you hear about the actuary who drowned whilst walking across a river that was, on average, only 4 feet deep.

You can drown in less than six inches of water.
