Now is not the time to panic, we have to stay strong and shoe a united front, however, it's crucial yesterday as bad as it was is a turning point. We simply cannot be dominated at home against anyone, if cook does not get a reaction from the team then i say it's time to go but for me i'm looking at the next 3 league games. I also want to see the same backline against west ham so they can build up game experience. Anyway i cant think of any available managers currently called paul

If cook is serious about turning it around, He has no choice but to play the same side on Tuesday.

I’d put Carroll in for Chaplin as we need to solidify midfield somehow, and get the three used to playing together ahead of Lincoln. Maybe Woolfenden back in for Edmundson because, as harsh as it is, we looked far more solid as a unit from open play with the Woolfenden-Burgess combination.

I think your comment about set pieces being better on another thread was spot on, and why I think 3 5 2 would be best for us. Allows Wolfy to be the ball playing CB, and we'd have the best of both worlds.

But agree on the change you mention for Tuesday. Although if it's 4 1 3 2, I would just put Carroll with Evans and see how that works with Carroll sitting and letting Evans push on.

Three at the back would result in an interesting shape as we’d still need our wide players for attack play.

Vincent-Young –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Coulson

Burns –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Aluko

Trouble is Morsy cannot play in the league until the end of the month - do we need to get players who are available used to playing with one another?

Totally agree, however, morsy in reality will miss 2 games now, [sheff wed and donny] beyond that he should be a nailed on starter, therefore big question is who to play alongside him and clearly to date the centre 2 are not playing well enough as a duo or offering sufficient protection for the team. The duo we play there should be controlling the game and offering better link from defence to attack and vice versa. I reslly like harper and i dont doubt both offer quality, perhaps tuesday is an opportunity to view a different combo

I dont know if it should be the exact side but it should contain the majority of players he expects to pick at the weekend.

However when I made this point about the Newport game you were very critical of me.

Different circumstances, back then we were still having issues with injuries, unfit players etc and the game didn't really hold any importance.

Now we have the majority of the squad available and it as yesturday showed, the likes of Edmundson and Burgess need time together so tues is ample opportunity for it.

I personally think the circumstances of both warranted us playing as many first team players as possible but either way yes, I agree on Tuesday we need to play our strongest 11

Whereas I think it's important to give Morsy game time (given he can play in the Trophy).

Good Lord! Whatever is it?
