It was a very young crowd. They responded really well to his solo stuff like Wall of Glass. His voice was better than it has been for a while and it was good to see a Bonehead up on stage with him. |  |

His new album is quite good and he has the charisma to sell it properly onstage. At one point his solo career wasn’t going well but he’s turned that around well. All credit to him. Just because he played at those Manchester gigs doesn’t explain fully just how well he has done. I met him in a pub once and he was very polite and charming. |  | |  |
