So, they're taking 'no Keano for Sunderland' well up there. on 20:23 - Feb 10 with 1215 views | Pablo_Counago | Surprised to see there are actually fans disappointed that he's not getting the job Did his time as a 'funny to watch analyst' really wipe people's memory clean of his coaching record? Let us not forget there's people out there that thought George Burley the best choice for ITFC's manager post not too long ago. Past glories clouding judgement (no offense to George of course, a legend who has just been out of the game too long). I think their meltdown is also in part to having sacked Johnson 2 points off the top, with nothing lined up, and absolutely tanking in the interim. This is another setback.

Banter era rules dictate that Sunderland managed by a former budgie would beat us in the playoffs.

Well, this is certainly a 'take' and it's possibly 'warm'.

George Burley would have been a better appointment than Paul Hurst, Paul Lambert and Paul Cook and that's a matter of fact, not nostalgia. If Burley had taken over with Butcher instead of Lambert we wouldn't have been relegated. There were plenty of points to play for, but Evans didn't want to contend with a manager that really cared whether this club dropped or not, so went with someone who would accept his crud ownership and pathetic war chest to keep us up.
