Indeed. I am far from a fan of Farage and was always against holding a Brexit referendum, let alone the process or the result. However, the idea was about allowing us to control immigration. The freedom of movement was only within the EU. However, I think we were also able to increase numbers from outside the EU had we chosen to. The fact we are now doing so is presumably from necessity due to alienating so many EU nationals and struggling to have the workforce we need. |  |
