Signed for Sunderland apparently we had agreed a deal with Fleetwood but wages was an issue so Sunderland hijacked the deal and paid the wages he wanted i wonder if the club will mention this thought he would of been a great signing still roll on the summer .

There was no bid, no agreement, no discussions about wages.

At best it was a brief chat on the training ground early in the window and that was that.

Nope i make you wrong but your quoting the club to throw water on it.
I’m pretty sure we were in for him but missed out he’ll be good for Sunderland.

No, you're wrong, Phil has stated as such and so did Stuart Watson on the latest pod.

Not sure where you got your info from, sounds like WJK's mate.

He's been built up on the basis of one game.

There is no obvious place for him in our first XI.

I'm sure he's good, but he's not moved to a Champ team.

Let's move on from this. We can't sign everyone.

Nonsense - why would we have bid for a player when we had Morsy, Evans, Caroll, Bakinson, El Miz and Harper vying for two positions

The fact we loaned Harper out shows we know we had too many competing for two places and need them to get playing time.

I'm not saying Matete isn't better than what we have or wouldn't have been a good signing but was never going to be a signing for us, especially once we'd brought Bakinson in.

Bakinson was clearly chosen with a view to a permanent and I hope he does well.

Sunderland is just a better option for him even if all what you've said is true - they are 3rd in the league and we likely won't make the top 6

Bobsthename, grammarsthegame.

I don't think wages would be a stumbling block for us, I've heard of one 1st teamer here on a perm basis earning £14k a week.

Perhaps that explains the clearout during this window , in order to meet FFP regs ?

Please stop
