Mrs Ingram-Moore: "Blimey love, with this lockdown and its impact upon our business, it would appear that we're up the financial sh*tter." Mr Ingram-Moore: "You know how you managed to con your old man into spending the week walking around the garden by offering him a quid a go? You don't think the Great British Public would be that gullible, do you?" Mrs Ingram-Moore: "Hmm... Dominic Cummings managed to use the NHS to con the nation into the biggest act of collective self-harm since the Jonestown Massacre. Tell them it's all for charitdee and I reckon they'd contribute in their millions, and nobody's ever going to miss 10% off the top..." DRAMATISATION - MAY NOT HAVE HAPPENED [Post edited 8 Feb 2022 16:13]

Captain Tom's charity has been a little 'loose' with their donations on 16:46 - Feb 8 with 817 views | Guthrum | I'll post the same thing I did yesterday. It's being made out like this is something out of the ordinary. Sure, the consultancy fees look rather high, but it resulted in raising rather a large sum of money. Also, most trusts don't hand out their capital, but invest it in order to continue giving long term. Content of the post (transcribed because of the dodgy link): From reading the accounts, that unspent money been invested in order to keep making grants over a lengthy period (which is how almost all Trusts work). The bulk of the 'management' expenses comprised £126k spent on charity consultants*, probably identifying and working on potential major donors. Sounds a lot of money, but it helped them raise over £1m. https://register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-search?p_p_id=uk_ * I may even know them, as worked in that sector years ago.
