Thompson's doesn't deserve to keep his place. Yes we've kept the clean sheet record with him in the team but I'd rather concede and win 2-1 every week, he gives us nothing going forwards.

It also means the opponents defence has something else to think about when Penney gets forward, creating gaps for celina, strikers etc.
Thompson I was delighted in getting, but he's been average, Ok defending, leaves to much space for crosses. Frustratingly when he does get forward he's ok, he just doesn't do it anywhere near enough | |

EDIT: Pigott was taken off in the Burton match you quote after 68 minutes (OK we were 2-0 up). I think he hasn't done enough to be worth a start since but I also get it is all about partnerships so who knows? [Post edited 26 Feb 2022 17:45]

I don’t really think Pigott’s done enough either but none of them have. Jackson went out of his way to say how he enjoyed playing alongside him after Burton.
Get the earlier point about Celina but I meant he’s the only one out of those not in the eleven who could perhaps feel slightly aggrieved to be left out. | |
