Interesting analysis of Russian military failures 11:07 - Mar 2 with 1176 viewsSteve_M

It's clearly highly partial, witness the use of "the kremlin’s insane head gnome" but seems reasonably consistent.

Russian troops even showed up at Ukrainian police stations asking for fuel and directions, expecting the police officers to help them. (They were arrested).

I really hope that is true...

Truly impaired.

Also of relevance is this on the Committee of Soldier's Mothers who highlighted the callous disregard shown for Russian casualties in 2014. It's unlikely to have changed now, 11,000 RUB per life is less than $100.

I think I saw yesterday that they are promising 2m Rouble (£15k?) per death as compensation this time around. Let’s see how long they keep that up.

Even with these failures they are still going to achieve there outcome of removing the Ukraine government and replace them with a Government of there choosing. Beginning to encircle major cities, they don’t have complete air superiority but are close ( that convoy would be under constant attack if they didn’t). Interesting that the 70 used jets are no longer on the table.

Biggest problem is subduing a population that simply hates them and will go out of its way to chase them and the fake traitors government out of Ukraine. Sanctions are biting hard already no more winter sunshine in the med for the Russians!

AS another really interesting piece this takes that analysis a few (many) stages further:
