I was one of the people pushing for Neil Warnock when Cook went. Felt he'd be good short term.
Instead we get an outstanding prospect of a manager who all told has been terrific short term and looks just what we need moving forward.
Silly fool I was!

Don’t worry, there were some people advocating Danny Cowley in the last 2-3 years.

I was as well - and to be honest we will never know what would have happened. I love Colin.

Suffice to say though I’m happy not to go up as long as we can keep matey boy.

He does seem the real deal doesn’t he.

Don’t think I heard anyone that applied to in Beatties after the game. When he appeared on screen…

I wasn’t keen on Warnock. Maybe ten years ago. Plenty of promotions but he old now and we had to move on at some point. If we were rebuilding the club why would we employ a short term like him? Would he have done better than KM with what we have? I doubt it.

I had no idea at the time tbh and thought it might be a case of McGreal until the end of the season, given the time it took. I wasn’t keen on Neil Harris (limited, never done much) or a ‘name’ like J Terry (thank god that piece of work never pitched up). I had always hoped Mowbray would return, but there was no chance with Blackburn doing so well.

We’ve lucked out by the look of it.

The man is class and a keeper.

You can see the difference on the pitch, the way players ping one-touch passes around to each other and even when they don't come off the style continues, they persevere.

They've clearly had it drummed into them to not panic when sh1t doesn't come off and to have faith in themselves and each other.

I love this team and watching them play is a joy compared to some of our recent past.

It was a scary thought at the time too. We’re much better doing our own thing.

I was keen as well.
I blame the ME years, where we were always dreading the very real possibility of a Grayson or Megson type rolling up on a 3 year terror mission.
That made the likes of Colin quite appealing by comparison.
My only fear now is that KM will be attracting lascivious glances from some seriously big boys.
I haven’t been this happy since BFJ had us scoring for fun back in the noughties.
