Lentil power to the people. on 08:15 - Mar 18 by BanksterDebtSlave | Are you saying SUV owners are incapable of re-inflating tyres or putting a spare on? All the more reason to target the yummy mummy tank drivers. [Post edited 18 Mar 2022 8:16]

A lot of cars don't have spare tyres any more. Sitting on a flat tyre can damage the sidewall, thus requiring it to be replaced. How much care is being taken to ensure the targets are 'yummy mummy tank drivers' and not those who work in agriculture or construction? I'd be more supportive of a campaign to proliferate charging points and perhaps to subsidise (still very expensive) electric vehicles.

Don't they have the automated inflators in to get you to the garage in those cases? Are electric SUVs a thing yet?

Yes, electric SUVs exist. No idea how good they are (smaller is better when it comes to electric cars). If driven on or sat for a long time, a flat tyre can get damaged. Even if reinflated, it may then fail later.

But can be driven to tyresRus thus saving the RAC call out. Anyway we are overthinkig this...99/100 SUV drivers are w@nkers(worse even than peleton weekend cyclists) and deserve to be inconvenienced and shamed at every opportunity!

Trying to get around Cheltenham during race-week is not doing anything for my dislike of Range Rovers.

So an extra drive to the garage, more rubber used for tyres. Power tools to take the wheel off. Methinks you are more pleased with the inconvenience to the “yummy mummies” than you are with protecting the environment banksy.

Thing which appears around one's waist from middle age onwards.

Methinks you might be right...but if people stop buying them it's an environmental win too.

Many of the vehicles that no longer have spare tyres come with a compressor and a can of foam. The compressor can be used independently of foam but needs power from the engine / battery. Of the 300 odd vehicles my company has received in the last year only 12 came with a spare wheel. And yes there are SUVs that are FEV, eg, EQB Mercedes, Model Y Tesla and others.

They are mass occupancy, remove the need for an environmentally destructive house and very rarely move....bloomin' luvverly. Edit...watch out for ones with celtic knotwork painted on though. Likely full of rich w@nkers and particularly lovely dreadlocked yummie mummies. [Post edited 18 Mar 2022 14:09]

🙂 Few of the lads have put on a bit of weight, but a tad harsh to call um mass occupants. I have a lot of those rich w@nker, dreadlocked yummy mummies here as well. I much prefer the chubby semi drunken lads to the incredibly pretentious dreadlocked yummy mummy's. For people with dreadlocks they have a minimal understanding of Marcus Garvey....

People just assume they have a puncture, see they have no spare wheel and call the AA/RAC/Green Flag etc. I bet half the population would have no idea how to change a wheel anyway.
