What is the 'benefit' of having a car over here in the UK on a Guernsey number plate?
Someone who lives nearby to me has one, and has definitely had it on their car for significantly longer than the six-month grace period allowed for re-registering the car onto a UK plate. I assume there's some sort of tax/MOT/insurance dodge that can be done by not registering the car with the DVLA? |  |

You are right about the 6 months I think. My son took his Guernsey reg. car to uni on the mainland, and drove it for 3 years without being questioned.
The reg. number is transferable when you get a new car. Numbers of 4 or less figures are worth quite a bit, and commensurately three, two and single figures. | | | |
