Apologies if already mentioned but, if Donacien had gone for 2 instead of 44, our starting XI on Saturday would have been wearing 1-11.

And Donacien wore the number two for his first two seasons. So close!

I presume the last time we got that close was probably at some point in 93-94 when we either managed 1-11 or were one player off again.

I have a feeling we finished a game with 1-11 that season if we didn't start any.

Yeah, that might be right. Certainly there was something notable even in that first season of squad numbers.

Remember when Micky S wore 2 but played right midfield and Gus U wore 7 but played right back? Absolutely traumatising.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Morsy wearing 5 in midfield and Edmundson at 4 in central defence. Disgraceful tbh.

Couldn’t agree more.
Edit; to be fair Jason de Vos wore 4 I think. I accept 4 as aCB number but 5 is definitely not a midfielder’s number.

Steve Whitton wore 9 and played right wing, Gavin Johnson 2 at left midfield and Kowomya 11 up front.

Ray Kennedy, Ronnie Whelan and Micky Hazard are to blame.
