"The majority of his tribe are believed to have been killed as early as the 1970s by ranchers wanting to expand their land." Says it all really. Wanted more land so murdered the inhabitants and helped themselves to theirs. I've been reading Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee which I saw recommended on here a little while back. It's hard work for the same reasons; tribes bullied off their lands, villages burned down with many people slaughtered, often indiscriminately. |  |
