I thought she was better than Johnson, but that's a very low bar. A lot of answers were made by simply referencing her new appointees. I thought at times that the ordeal of the job was beginning to get to her, and I think that will only get worse.

That’s all very well but PMQs is about as relevant and as real as wrestling smack talk.
It’s a thin veneer of political seriousness playing to a gallery of breathless fanboys and fangirls. And political journalists looking for content so they can crap out another meaningless and superficial column. Or fill 5 minutes of airtime with something, anything. |  |

The positive from Starmer’s perspective is that he’s created a dividing line on windfall taxes where public opinion is on his side. | |
