Looking back on my entry of the prediction competition, I predicted almost all of the current top eight to be there. The only exception was MK Dons instead of Barnsley, but I put them 9th so not far off. |  |

I would have expected Oxford, MKD and Wycombe to be higher up the table than they are, and possibly in the top 8, based on recent seasons. All three have perhaps over-achieved in recent years.
The top 8 does look like the bigger teams and a mini-league, I posted eailrer that I would expect the top six places at the end of the season to be filled by clubs currently in the top 8. |  | | |

At the start of the summer I would have said Wycombe would be in that top 8/10 but they’ve had a few injuries and their summer window was really poor, think they signed 1 established player and that was to replace Stockdale and the rest were young players from other clubs that had been released.
They lost a few of their generals also, Bayo, Stockdale, Bloomfield retired in Feb, and their older players have another season under their belts.
They won’t give anyone an easy game but I expect them to be bottom half, probably where they should be in reality.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Ainsworth goes either by being sacked or leaving them to go to another club as the owners have said they have a top 2 squad for some reason so there might be some cracks developing. |  | | |
