Of the 72 EFL clubs only thirty managers have been in situ longer than KMc.

Will he make the top 20 by season's end?

That’s about the time Cook lasted isn’t it? Hurst a lot less. You are right though - madness. And we were a different club when Cook and Hurst were appointed.

Appointed 2 March 2021, sacked 4 December, so just over 9 months. Slightly longer than the current average.

Fair enough. Just guessing. It was a rather facetious remark of mine anyway. The OP is interesting. It’s astonishing how short a time managers get at clubs these days. I’m a little surprised Boro didn’t stick longer with Wilder.

No worries, thought it was interesting that even his brief tenure beats the current average!

Boro are roughly 16 places below where they'd have been targeting pre-season, always a matter of time in that situation I think.

The Championship is carnage atm. Bruce (West Brom) and Rowett (Millwall) likely to be next, whilst Pearson (Bristol City) never usually lasts this long.

Piece on SSN today about the no of changes in the championship, 8 already this season, a 3rd of the division. 8 moths just isn't enough time to impose a style and ideas.

Too many clubs with a hodgepodge of players and styles, I get that players are more versatile in the modern game and with the number of players coming onto the market as frees each year there is more potential to refresh a squad but still 8 months is nothing

Poll: Will Phil ever confirm we are actually close on a signing ever again
